Run Forrest Run 5K

We have exceeded our expectations on registrations for the 2018 Event. Late registrations as of September 25 will receive a shirt AFTER the event which will be available for pick up at Grounded Running in Beaufort. After the race concludes, an additional order will be made and you will be notified when those will be available for pick-up. Shirts can be mailed for an additional fee.

The Beaufort Shrimp Festival presents the Run Forrest Run 5K Run/Walk, October 6, 2018 at 8:00 AM on Bay at Newcastle Street. The 5k course is USATF Certified: SC18010DW (Exp. 12/31/28) and Chip Timed by Grounded Running.

PACKET PICK UP: Packet pick up will take place on Friday October 5, 2018 from 11:00-6:00pm at Grounded Running Beaufort (864 Parris Island Gateway, Unit B, Beaufort, SC 29906 - Next to Subway) and at the starting line on race morning from 7:00-7:45am

RACE DAY REGISTRATION: Race Day registration will take place at the starting line from 7:00-7:45am to ensure an on-time start.

AWARDS: Top 3 Overall Male & Female awards and Age Groups awards top 3 Male & Female: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The race is open for runners and walkers of all abilities, awards ceremony will begin at 8:50am. Kids fun run will be for children 0-7 and will take place at 8:45am

Run the course where the movie Forrest Gump was filmed. This Forrest Gump themed 5K will take you through historic downtown Beaufort, beautiful tree covered streets, and cross over the famous Woods Memorial Bridge. Take your picture with Forrest Gump in the park. Race shirts to the first 300 pre-registered participants.The Run Forrest Run 5K Bridge Run/Walk is held in conjunction with the Beaufort Shrimp Festival scheduled for October 5 & 6, 2018. Strollers are permitted.
