Description

We're Hitting the Road! The Pawsitively Spooky 5k is Going Virtual This Year!

After careful consideration, in order to protect the health of our individuals and those in our community, The Arc Knox County has decided to move the 2020 Pawsitively Spooky 5k/1 mile fun run to a virtual platform this year. While we are saddened that we cannot celebrate a holiday favorite in the tackiest way possible in person, you can still wear your craziest costumes and Halloween outfits to show your spooky spirit, whatever your location!

We will be hosting a virtual costume contest and fun giveaways for building a great virtual team by inviting your friends and family to join you in putting paws to the ground. There will be an in-person socially-distanced packet pick up option, or choose to have your packet shipped to your location.

Packets will still have fun treats, a Paws participation medal, and of course, a Pawsitively awesome tee-shirt. Runners can also choose whether or not they would like to upload their times to the Runsignup.com website. The race is on, starting Friday, October 9th, and ending Thursday, October 15th. The course at Victor Ashe Park will be marked during this time, for those who wish to run that particular course. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions! We hope you can join us in (sppoookkkyyy) spirit this year!

Registration:
Adult $30
Youth (under 18) $20

There will be a virtual costume contest judging for the following categories: Best Costume Male, Best Costume Female, Best Costume Child, Best Costume Dog, and Best Costume Person/Dog Duo, so upload your best tacky costume photos to the runsignup.com website!

Your registration fee includes race entry and a participant t-shirt. Participants will receive an event t-shirt if registered before October 1st. Late registrants will receive a t-shirt as supplies last.

All proceeds with benefit The Arc Knox County
