  Please know it is safe to give blood and in a health scare such as this, our blood supply will get depleted quickly. We need donors to come give blood at the centers and also on the blood mobiles. You can visit our website for hours and the closest location.  www.lifesouth.org

The LifeSouth Community Foundation and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers invite you to be a part of the 8th Annual LifeSouth Community Foundation Kids Marathon Hernando and the 5th annual 5K Hernando presented by Oak Hill Hospital. The Kids Marathon and 5K are scheduled for  the week of October 3rd-  October 10th 2020 (rescheduled date) ANYTIME ANYWHERE. WE ARE GOING VIRTUAL!

Kids Marathon

To participate in the Kids Marathon, kids in kindergarten through eighth grade complete 25 miles one at a time. Each mile can be recorded on the log sheet during the months prior to the marathon. To finish the full marathon, kids will run the last 1.2 miles before October 10th, 2020.  Participants who finish the 1.2 miles by Saturday, October 10th will receive a goodie bag from our sponsors, a finishers medal, and race tshirt. Kids must register in order to participate. Kids Marathon participants may also register for the 5K. Both will be done virtually and on the honor system. Neither will be a timed event.

5K

Participants who complete the 5K by Saturday, October 10th will receive a finishers medal and race tshirt. This will not be a timed event.

Event Details and FAQ's

If you submitted a paper form thru school last year there is no need to re-register. You will automatically be registered in the virtual race. 

Notification of Completion and Packet Pickup:  The schools are competing against each other for the most students at the event to win prize money of $500. It is important that you sign in at either the Kids Marathon or 5K depending on the event you are doing. Send an email to [email protected] when you complete the run or 5k. Include your contact information in case we have questions about t-shirt size. T-shirt and medals will be distributed at the LifeSouth building at 12395 Cortez Blvd Brooksville between 2pm-7pm on November 10th
