Description

Training show for performers ages 5-9 SHOW OVERVIEW The play begins in a suburb of the big forest, where the animals that live there are happy, but a bit bored. Speedy McRabbit, a very fast hare, challenges anyone in the forest to a Great Race. The publicly seeking Mayor offers up a prize, but no one is willing to accept the challenge. The Race is set for the following day, but without a challenger, Speedy will win without every running a step. Terry Pin, a tortoise who is looking for a real friend, figures out that a strategy for beating Speedy. Kendra, an optimistic skunk, convinces Terry that he should run the race. The following day, when Terry steps forward to race against Speedy, all the animals of the forest laugh at the idea of a tortoise racing a hare. Terry’s only supporter is Kendra. An announcer from the Wild World of Sports provides commentary for the race. The race begins and Terry’s strategy works. Speedy learns a lesson about persistence and Terry learns what it means to find a real friend.
