The 10K run and the 5K fun run feature a gorgeous course that includes trails, roads and stunning water vistas along the way.  Both races start in front of the Rio Grill in the Crossroads-Carmel, at Highway 1 and Rio Road in Carmel, CA. 

Rio Grill's Resolution Run is a New Year's Day tradition that benefits a local non-profit. For the 2019 event, we are pleased to announce Coastal Kids Home Care as our non-profit partner! Coastal Kids Home Care provides in-home health care for children on the Central Coast which allows them to stay in their homes instead of having to drive out of the area for specialized medical treatments. 

Walkers, strollers and well-behaved canine friends on a leash are welcome to participate. There is a $5 fee to walk or run with your dog(s).

After the run, you'll enjoy a great brunch prepared by the Kiwanis of Monterey and Rio Grill, plus, awards will be presented for the top three finishers in each age category as well as an over-all finisher, male and female for both the 5k and 10k courses.

Event details and schedule

• Online registration at Active.com through December 30, 2019 at 5 PM PST
• Packet pick-up and registration at the Rio Grill on Monday, December 31, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM 
• Race day parking available in the Crossroads Carmel shopping village
• Race day pick-up and regsitration at the Rio Grill beginning at 7:00 AM until 8:45 AM
• Registration closes at 8:45am!
